The DV Lottery Visa or Green Card Lottery is a law pass by the United States of America congress to allow 55,000 people to immigrate to the U.S. every single year. The lottery date is usually in October and November and it’s been going on since the adoption of The Immigration Act of 1990 and sign into law by George H. W. Bush on November 29, 1990. Winner are randomly selected from a pool of millions of participants around the world. Each year, there is an estimate of 20 million online entries. Registration are done only at the U.S Department of State websitewww.dvlottery.state.gov and is completely FREE for all participants no matter who you are.
Every year, the state department disqualify some countries with a high rate of immigrants in the United State.
Steps to take before, during and after the lottery period.
BEFORE THE LOTTERY
Make sure that you have at least a High School diploma or an equivalent

Check if your country is not disqualified for this year. If so, sorry you cannot play this year as principal, but your spouse can play as principal and add you as wife or husband or partner.

DV LOTTERY PERIOD
Take a picture(6*6) of yourself and everyone else that you will playing with including newborns.
Go on the only official website www.dvlottery.state.gov (make that you are on the official website of the U.S. State Department before you started entering your personal information)
The registration for the lottery is free. You will not pay anything to register on the official website.
Collect all information for you and everyone else that will play with you including newborns.
If you do not add someone here, do not do them after winning. You will be automatically disqualified.
After the registration completed, print and keep your confirmation page or confirmation code. You will not be able the get it from the state department later and most importantly you cannot check if you are a winner when the results come out in May. This confirmation code is the only prove that you participate in the lottery.
AFTER THE LOTTERY SEASON IS OVER.
Keep your confirmation code secured and go back to your regular live. Do not sell any belongings or do anything thinking that you already won the lottery.
On May, generally in the first week, go back online at the official website www.dvlottery.state.gov and enter your confirmation code and some personal information to check if you are a winner or not.
